OUR APPROACH TO PROPER METH DECONTAMINATION
For methamphetamine user site decontamination, we deploy a three-step process:
1Site Survey & Work Plan
The site survey will consist of inspecting your home and taking samples for lab analysis to determine where and to what level your home is contaminated. There are two types of surveys we can perform. A composite survey involves taking one sample on each floor of your home to determine if it is in fact affected. A whole house survey involves taking samples in every room of your home to determine where we need to focus our cleanup efforts. This survey is much more expensive than a composite survey and should only be performed if you’ve decided to move forward with the remediation process. After the lab analysis is complete, we produce a written plan to define the work necessary to remove all meth residue from your home.
2Decontaminate the Site to Meet Your State Guidelines
This process generally takes one to three days depending on the size and level of contamination of the site. We use scientifically proven chemicals that break down and neutralize the meth residue in your home, rendering it harmless. This treatment is applied not only to walls, floors and ceilings, but to the HVAC system and drains throughout your home as well.
3Post REmediation Sampling and certification
Once the remediation process is complete, Chicago Meth Remediation will have your property tested again to certify that your home is decontaminated and safe to occupy. You will be provided with this certification so that you may remove your property from quarantine, sell it, move back in or re-rent it.

WHY DECONTAMINATE YOUR PROPERTY?
Maybe you know your property has been contaminated by meth users, but you don’t see any residue, and you haven’t noticed any significant health effects. You may think this means you’re safe. You don’t have to pay for decontamination, and you can just move on.
Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case.
Methamphetamine residue is an invisible vapor that clings to every surface in a home – from the windows to the walls to the floors. It seeps into soft surfaces – carpets and furnishings. You can’t paint over it, and you can’t clean it up with consumer-grade antibacterial cleaners.
Though you may not think meth is a problem in your property, extended exposure to even low levels of methamphetamine residue can cause serious health problems. Whether it’s your own home that may be contaminated or a rental property, decontamination brings you peace of mind.
Meth user site decontamination probably costs less than you think it will. Maybe you’ve heard horror stories of homes that needed to be completely demolished due to meth residue. Or maybe you just assume that it will cost tens of thousands of dollars to rid your property of the poison.
In fact, meth user site decontamination is surprisingly affordable, at least when you make the right choices.
At Chicago Meth Remediation, we use the latest science and technology available to quickly and easily decontaminate your property. Our process requires very little to no demolition whatsoever in most cases, making it quite affordable. Crystal Meth is created with science and chemistry, and we use science and chemistry to rid your home of this poison.

ABOUT CHICAGO METH REMEDIATION
Your Safety Is Our Business
Remember, you can’t handle methamphetamine cleaning on your own. The laundry list of poisonous chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamines cling to surfaces and linger in the air. Unprotected exposure can result in everything from headaches, dizziness and nausea to chemical burns, birth defects, blindness, respiratory ailments, liver damage, and even kidney failure.
From a heath perspective, a methamphetamine user site is simply one of the most dangerous places you could step into. Chemicals such as methanol, acetone and benzene can invade literally every porous surface – cabinets, furniture, carpet, drywall – and remain toxic indefinitely unless the environment is decontaminated. That’s right, a home that’s been used as a methamphetamine user site can pose health risks to its occupants for many years. You need an experienced decontamination professional to ensure the procedure is done right the first time.
